Our promise to build safer, stronger and better-educated communities extends to all our neighborhoods. We team up with organizations in African-American communities that support our dream to extend education and leadership opportunities to all children in all communities. Our community relationships are doing amazing things.

The NAAWLI program is unique because it has a community leadership project component that Fellows must complete over seven months. NAAWLI uses current leadership research and theories and guides Fellows through best practices and behaviors to implement theories. The NAAWLI model of the NAAWLI Fellowship program takes advantage of complex organizations’ cultural, ethnic, and gender contexts.
